Lollapalooza's Israel Launch Delayed

Rocker Perry Farrell's plans to launch his Lollapalooza festival in Israel this year have been put on hold.

The Jane's Addiction frontman was due to bring his popular event to Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park in August 2013, making it the first ever large-scale international music festival in the country.

However, it has now emerged the Middle Eastern edition of Lollapalooza has been called off.

No reason for the cancellation has been given, but a spokesperson tells the Los Angeles Times the festival is being postponed for a later date.

Perry Farrell is working on a Jane's Addiction musical to give fans a new way of hearing the band's songs.

The frontman, who is the mastermind behind Lollapalooza music festival, has revealed his ambitious project won't be a normal theatre-going experience and won't even be held in a traditional venue.

Farrell has refused to confirm any of the details, but insists fans will be impressed by the results.

Rocker Perry Farrell is set to launch his Lollapalooza festival in Israel next year.

The popular 21-year-old event, which hit Chicago this weekend, will head to Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park in August, 2013 as the first-ever large-scale international music festival in the country.

However, Farrell isn't planning to stop there - he's also exploring the possibility of holding a similar show in Jerusalem.

Rockers Jane's Addiction are premiering the explicit video for their new song "Underground" on adult website

The less racy promo made its debut on on Wednesday, but the more controversial version will hit the Internet on Friday night.

Jane's Addiction have become the latest rock band to make plans for a big New Year's Eve concert after signing up to headline an end-of-2011 gig in celebrity winter playground Aspen, Colorado.

Perry Farrell's group will perform at Belly Up and the show will be broadcast live on Sirius XM satellite radio.

The bash is the band's third annual New Year's Eve showcase at the intimate venue.

Rockers Jane's Addiction are to be inducted into Hollywood's Rock Walk.

The band, Stephen Perkins, Dave Navarro and Perry Farrell, will place their hands into the cement outside Los Angeles' fabled Guitar Center at noon on June 1st.

Rage Against the Machine star Tom Morello will induct the band at the ceremony.

Jane's Addiction's handprints will reside alongside the handprints, signatures, and faces of other accomplished musicians and innovators including Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Elvis Presley.

Duff McKagan: 'I Just Didn't Want To Look Like A Buffoon'

Former Guns N' Roses star Duff McKagan was determined to retain control over what was broadcast in his recent reality show - because he "didn't want to look like a buffoon" on TV.

The rocker and his partner Susan allowed cameras into their home to document their lives in Married To Rock, which also featured Jane's Addiction star Perry Farrell and his wife Etty, as well as other rock couples.

McKagan admits he wanted to keep their involvement "controlled" so he spent hours pouring over contracts to make sure he had a say in what was aired.

Lady Gaga will perform on an impressive stage at this year's Lollapalooza festival - the event's founder Perry Farrell has commissioned a custom-built set costing $150,000 for the star.

The Jane's Addiction frontman has invested the cash after signing the Poker Face hit-maker up to headline the August festival in Chicago, Illinois.

And Farrell's convinced she's worth every cent.

He tells Britain's Daily Star, "We're bringing in a special stage for her, investing like a hundred grand to house what she's doing. That's massive. Only Lady Gaga could step in and say 'I'm a headliner'."

Former Guns N' Roses rocker Duff McKagan has replaced Eric Avery in the reunited Jane's Addiction.

Avery co-founded the band in the mid-1980s and rejoined frontman Perry Farrell for a 2008 reunion.

He announced his plans to quit via a post on Monday, stating, "With equal parts regret and relief, the Jane's Addiction experiment is at an end."

And the group already has his replacement planned - McKagan will join them in the studio for their comeback album.

Rocker Dave Navarro has dismissed former bandmate Perry Farrell's claims his reality TV show Rock Star broke up Jane's Addiction. Guitarist Navarro claims the frontman has his timings mixed up, as he wasn't approached to make Rock Star until he was recording with his new band The Panic Channel, which also features Jane's Addiction bassist Chris Chaney and drummer Stephen Perkins.
