The "identical twin" of cowpunk pioneer Jason Ringenberg, Farmer Jason started as a side project Ringerberg did for his daughters, but ended up being more commercially successful than other things he did. In 2003 he released A Day at the Farm with Farmer Jason, songs about his Tennessee farm and animals, on Yep Roc, and three years later Rockin' in the Forest with Farmer Jason came out.
