The Faint is an American indie rock band. Formed in Omaha, Nebraska, the band consists of Todd Fink, Jacob Thiele, Dapose, Joel Petersen and Clark Baechle. Early on The Faint was known as Norman Bailer and included Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes. Oberst quit shortly after the band was formed. While still known as Norman Bailer they issued the album, “Sine Sierra,” via Lumberjack Records in 1995. Oberst, was still in the band at the time. After changing names, The Faint originally consisted of Clark Baechle, Todd Fink (formerly Todd Baechle) and Joel Petersen.
