Lee beat out competition form Halestorm's Lzzy Hale, Picture Me Broken star Brooklyn and Taylor Momsen to claim the top spot in the Revolver magazine countdown.

However, she is not convinced she would lead the pack if it wasn't for the make-up and costumes she wears.

Lee says, "Nobody would think I was the hottest chick in metal if I didn't put a whole bunch of make-up on and have a team working on me all morning."

Also making the top 10: In This Moment's Maria Brink, Lacuna Coil'...

Evanescence's Amy Lee Eyeing A Solo Career

October 7th, 2011 6:12pm EDT
Amy Lee
Evanescence star Amy Lee is considering launching herself as a solo artist using material from the band's scrapped studio sessions because the tracks weren't "right" for the group.

The singer/songwriter stopped work on the band's self-titled third album last year and discarded a number of songs, before starting the project over again.

Lee admits the tracks she dumped would not have worked for Evanescence, but they might be good for a solo record.

She tells The Pulse Of Radio, "I think that some of those songs aren't right for Evanescence. Some of the songs that we had at that time may...

Evanescence star Amy Lee fears she and her ex-lover and former bandmate BEN MOODY will never speak again - because it's best they have no correspondence.

Sure, sure. I have heard it all already. Everyone I know that is a fan of Flyleaf is upset that the band made the decision to take the road less traveled for them, one with less screams and a tad less aggression on their new album, Memento Mori. Yeah, their self titled album was teeming with a certain kind of rawness, a certain power all its own. This time out they took the path of melody and concentrated more of their hooks than anything else and guess what, it worked perfectly. Memento Mori is a great next step for the band, a natural progression if you will. So those that are miffed, res...
