Alicia Keys, John Mayer, More Stars To Salute The Beatles In Grammy Special

A new television special, "The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute To The Beatles," will feature performances by John Legend, Alicia Keys and Maroon 5.

Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart from the Eurythmics will also reunite for the special, and John Mayer and Keith Urban will also participate, according to Grammy organizers.

The primetime show, presented by The Recording Academy, AEG Ehrlich Ventures and CBS, will celebrate the iconic Beatles and their first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1964.

The special will air on Jan. 27, one day following the 56th Annual Grammy Awards...

The Eurythmics are reuniting to perform at a special Grammy tribute concert in honor of The Beatles later this month.

Former Eurythmics star Dave Stewart is set to make history with the release of the first music video shot in 11.1 surround sound.

The pop pioneer joined forces with executives at sound technology experts DTS to create a sound experience "unlike anything else in the medium".

A spokesman says, "They filmed the short film/music video and mixed it in 11.1 surround sound, breaking ground for the art form itself. Former Eurythmics star Dave Stewart has struck a deal with bosses at rock art chain Morrison Hotel Gallery to create a series of movies using their roster of photographers.

The rock star is planning to make films chronicling classic music photography with the lensmen behind each piece talking about how the shot came about.

The first project in the series will feature photographer Henry Diltz telling the story of his iconic The Doors' Morrison Hotel album cover shoot.

Former Eurythmics star Dave Stewart is set to show off his photography talents at a major new Los Angeles exhibition.

The rocker's Jumpin' Jack Flash & The Suicide Blonde show will open at the Morrison Hotel Gallery, housed at the Sunset Marquis Hotel, next week (12Jul13).

It will feature portraits of Demi Moore, Carla Bruni, Bjork, Sir Mick Jagger and Sinead O'Connor, mostly taken in Stewart's home.

Singer Annie Lennox has been unveiled as the 2013 recipient of the prestigious Music Industry Trusts Award.

The Eurythmics star will be honoured for her longstanding career and charity work at a ceremony in November (13).

Speaking about the accolade, Lennox says, "I feel very privileged."

Previous honourees include Sir Elton John and Sir Tom Jones, while Take That star Gary Barlow picked up the award last year (12).

Steven Tyler, Annie Lennox and Stevie Nicks are among the artists who will be competing for a place in the 2013 Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Tyler is joined in the list of nominees by his Aerosmith bandmate and writing partner Joe Perry, while Lennox's Eurythmics collaborator Dave Stewart is also included, along with Nicks' Fleetwood Mac co-stars Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie.

Blues legend B.B. King and The Kinks' Ray Davies are also among the nominees for the 2013 inductees.
