Gloria Estefan Is Broadway Bound

Gloria Estefan is getting her own musical next year on Broadway that will chronicle her journey from Cuba to Miami, Florida with husband Emilio Estefan, Jr., and her rise to pop stardom.

The stage production, titled "On Your Feet," will kick of at Chicago's Oriental Theatre in Illinois for its first five weeks before heading to the Great White Way in October.

The show will begin previews at the Marquis Theatre on October 5, according to Playbill.

Tony award winner Jerry Mitchell will direct, while choreographer Sergio Trujillo, who put together the dance routines for Broadway hit "Jersey...

Helen Mirren has signed up to lend her voice to an upcoming episode of "Glee," according to a report.

The star is slated to provide the "inner voice" of one of the characters, reports TVLine.com.

A source tells the website, "Helen came in and secretly recorded several long and hilarious monologues two weeks ago. Then she visited the kids on set, and they had no idea she was coming; they were stunned. Helen's a big fan of the show and the message it sends out about arts education."

The Give Me Everything hit-maker has been approached to play the big brother of lesbian cheerleader Santana, who is played by Naya Rivera.
