Review: U2's 'No Line On The Horizon'
Let's put aside, if we can, the years of accolades this band has earned. Let's forget about Rolling Stone Magazine's five-star rating for this album (giving it "classic" status). Ignore the aging rock stars that have been written off more than once. And pay no attention to the sparse grey album cover that has left some fans scratching their heads.
All you need to focus on is the music. Three of the finest producers in music - all previous U2 collaborators - were involved in U2's twelfth studio album. Danny Lanois, Brian Eno, and Steve Lillywhite all put their mark on "No Line On...

Fujiya & Miyagi Announce US Fall Tour; 'Lightbulbs' Out Now
Imagine that Fujiya & Miyagi are mask-wearing technicians dissecting music, keen to magnify particles of sound to create a pulsing antidote to the ordinary. They speak in tongues, using language as a rhythm, picking words that sound good, rhyming 'jigsaws' with 'carnivores.'
Their songs are incisive snapshots of real lives that make household appliances sound threatening. They are steeped in vintage music from evocative krautrock to deep soul, with wafts of early Human League synth, Floydian Englishness and the throbbing groove of Tom Tom Club, all filtered for modern times.

Coldplay's Secret 2009 Album
Coldplay will release a follow-up to their recent album Viva La Vida as early as next year, according to reports. The rockers, fronted by Chris Martin, apparently recorded enough tracks with producer Brian Eno to form the basis of a new LP.
A source tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "The Viva La Vida sessions were incredibly fruitful. They gelled brilliantly with Brian and recorded much more music than they could fit on one album.
"The majority of the follow-up is already in the can, though they will have to go back into the studio at some point to add a few more songs."

Brian Eno Didn't Like Coldplay's 'Viva La Vida'
British band Coldplay's latest album was slated by legendary producer Brian Eno before it was even recorded, according to frontman Chris Martin.
The rocker and his band enlisted the former Roxy Music keyboardist to help with their latest album Viva La Vida - but were shocked when Eno unleashed his thoughts on their songs.
Martin says, "He said, 'Your songs are too long, you're too repetitive and your lyrics aren't good enough.’
"Within 20 minutes we'd forgotten about all our previous record sales."

Coldplay Turned To Brian Eno After NY Times Review
Coldplay were left so stunned by a scathing critique of their last album X&Y they brought in producer Brian Eno to help them become the band they wanted to be.
The New York Times article suggested the British band were "the most insufferable" on the back of the 2005 album, prompting singer Chris Martin to take notice.
He says, "It was a big deal. It's the first real attack on your band, and from a publication we all respect. I agreed with a lot of the points... so, in a way, it was liberating to see that someone else realized that also. And there is something glamorous to me in ta...

Moviemaker Embarrassed Directing Keira Knightley
Moviemaker Joe Wright was left red-faced on the set of new period piece Atonement when he was heard yelling masturbation instructions to actress Keira Knightley. Wright pumped Brian Eno's This onto the set at full volume for the film's sensual scenes - but was caught out one morning when the track ended unexpectedly.
He says, "I didn't reduce the volume of my voice and I could suddenly be heard shouting, 'Keira, w--k him off,' which I was mercilessly ripped about for some weeks afterwards."
But the actress insists there was "no knob-touching for real."

READ MOREBryan Ferry To Release Entire Album Of Bob Dylan Covers June 26; Listen
There is a racing, joyous intensity to Bryan Ferry's interpretations of the songs of Bob Dylan. Just as his legendary version of 'A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall', recorded back in 1973, exchanged apocalyptic vision for exuberant swagger, so at the heart of these new recordings lies Ferry's brilliance in both paying homage to the original track, and reinventing it as entirely and iconically his own. Back then, in 1973, he had an idea: "I just thought it would be great to make a whole album of Dylan songs. And at the end of last year, finally, it happened."
