Eminem First Person To Hit 60 Million 'Likes' On Facebook

Rapper Eminem has become the first person to reach 60 million 'friends' on Facebook.com.

The Slim Shady star passed the milestone on the social networking website on Monday, and now boasts 60,093,667 'likes' on his page.

Eminem's Love The Way You Lie collaborator Rihanna is not far behind on Facebook, she has 59,381,829 'likes', but the rapper is still only the fourth most popular entertainer on YouTube.com with two billion views on his channel.

He first took the mantle of most popular celebrity on Facebook after eclipsing Michael Jackson in February 2011.

Eminem has suspended work on his upcoming boxing movie Southpaw to concentrate on his music.

The lead singer of new wave stars The Motels has launched legal action against the band's former record label executives over allegations of unpaid royalties from digital sales.

The group, fronted by Martha Davis, signed with EMI's Capitol Records in 1979 and rose to fame with hits like Only the Lonely and Suddenly Last Summer in the early '80s.

Peter Frampton is suing bosses at A&M Records for unpaid royalties.

The singer claims he's owed a small fortune from the digital sales of his songs and he's alleging breach of contract and unfair competition in legal papers filed by his attorney Richard Busch, who previously represented Eminem and The Knack's Bruce Gary in similar cases.

The lawyer helped Eminem win a 2010 appeals court decision against Universal and Aftermath Records, which landed him a 50 per cent deal on all digital sales of his tracks.

AllHipHop.com reports Chaos Kid took his own life on Wednesday in Detroit, Michigan.

Chaos Kid befriended a young Eminem during the late 1980s, when they were both working with producer Mike 'Manix' Ruby.

Elanore Trice lost her fight against the disease on Tuesday.
