U2's New Album Inspired By Neu!
U2's 13th studio album was inspired by krautrockers Neu!. The Irish band unleashed their latest single Invisible during the commercials for the Super Bowl and The Edge has revealed the band listened to a lot of German electronica which inspired them when they first started jamming in the 1970s.

A plethora of celebrities attended the 25th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival over the weekend. Stars including Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts and Matthew McConaughey picked up awards for their acting work.

Actresses January Jones and Gwyneth Paltrow have been spoofed as two of the Least Influential People of 2011.

Editors at GQ magazine have followed up Barbara Walters' annual list of "The 10 Most Fascinating People" of the year by creating their own compilation of celebrities who've failed to contribute something of "value" to the world, and both blonde beauties were nominated for the shameful honor.

Jones was one of 25 selected because the latest season of her hit TV show "Mad Men" was delayed from airing until 2012 and Paltrow was named for "unleashing her awful cookbook on the world."

U2 rocker The Edge has plenty of reason to celebrate - he turns the big 5-0 on Monday.

The Irish band recently wrapped up its mammoth 360 Tour and marked the end of the 25-month trek with an all night boozing session at New York hotspot The Spotted Pig last weekend.

"South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone's hit musical "The Book Of Mormon" swept the board at the 2011 Tony Awards on Sunday, scooping nine top honors including the prestigious Best Musical.

U2 frontman Bono is adamant his beleaguered Spider-Man musical has been not been axed and is still set to meet its June deadline for opening night.

"Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark," which features music written by Bono and his bandmate The Edge, has been beset by numerous problems including onset accidents, safety investigations, spiralling costs and crippling delays.

The musical has been in previews since last year but was recently put on hiatus following the exit of director Julie Taymor and given a major revamp ahead of a June 14 opening.
