Forro In The Dark, New York's favorite Brazilian party band steps out this summer with a schedule of festival and club dates. The five-piece outfit favored by Steve Earle and David Byrne for their modern interpretation of the traditional Brazilian dance style known as forró also has a new EP titled Dia de Roda, released digitally on Nublu Records May 13.

Supersuckers Announce New Album Details And Confirm Jan./Feb. Tour Dates

The record, dubbed "a torrent of filth wailed by a bisexual alien," beat The Beatles' I Want To Hold Your Hand and Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel to claim the top spot on the new list compiled by superstar panelists for the new issue of Mojo magazine.

Bruce Springsteen Shows Up At Own Tribute Concert

Veteran rocker Bruce Springsteen surprised fans last night, when he turned up at a New York tribute concert held in his honor. Springsteen performed three songs to an ecstatic audience at Carnegie Hall.

He told the crowd, "The good news is... I'm not dead yet!"

Among the stars performing at the event were Patti Smith, Steve Earle, Juliana Hatfield and actor Kevin Bacon, who sang Streets Of Philadelphia with his band The Bacon Brothers.

Bruce Springsteen Carnegie Hall All-Star Tribute Set For April

Bruce Springsteen's music will be honored in an all-star tribute gala concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Performers will include Jewel, Chris Isaak, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, the Bacon Brothers (actor Kevin Bacon's duo), Steve Earle, Bruce Hornsby, Josh Ritter and Pete Yorn.

Each artist will perform one of the singer's tunes during the Springsteen Tribute fundraiser to benefit Music for Youth, an initiative that supports music education for underprivileged youth.

The all-star gala concert will be held on April 5.
