He tells Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper, "The problem with Robin Thicke's video is it disempowered all the women in it. I think Robin made a bit of a mistake, because he's not a bad guy, he's not a misogynist, but he's getting off on the chicks in the video and all...

Don't Cry For 'Glee'... When It's This Good!

December 1st, 2010 3:14pm EST
For sectionals this year, Will is determined to prove how self-aware ‘Glee’ can be. Critics concerned about how overexposed Lea Michele is and how underutilized Heather Morris is, Will has got your back. Folks, who would be happy listening to Lea Michele sing the phone book every week, Santana’s going to taunt you with “Yentl” references and torture Rachel with revelations on the true status of Finn’s virginity. (For those who missed it, Santana took it in the middle of a wonderfully entertaining tribute to Madonna.)

The news doesn’t exactly help boost morale for the glee club, although it...

Writer's Viewpoint: Disputing An Iconic Song List

January 30th, 2009 2:14pm EST
It takes a cataclysmic event to derail Overrated/Underrated from its usual Friday spot. Currently the Oscars have been serving as that disruptive force, but this week interruption comes from the most unlikely source: a sports columnist from the Kansas City Star.

This is because Joe Posnanski has suggested on his blog that we stop voting artists into the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame and shift our focus to Hall-Worthy songs. Songs he deems "Iconic". His criterion for including a song on the ballot is that it be "A song that represents a set of beliefs or a way of life. So, I see these s...
