Metal Heavyweights Pay Tribute To 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott During Five-Hour Benefit Concert

System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian, Tom Morello and Disturbed star David Draiman were among the rockers who paid tribute to late Pantera guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott at a marathon party in Hollywood on Wednesday night.

The trio joined members of Pantera, Sebastian Bach, Duff McKagan and singer/songwriter Ben Harper at the Dimebag Bash, which annually honors the memory of Abbott, who was the victim of a crazed gunman at a concert in 2004.

Disturbed star Dan Donegan has assured fans the band will return from its upcoming hiatus, and there are no plans to split.

The hard rockers will be taking an open-ended break following the release of an upcoming B-sides and rarities collection, but the guitarist insists he and his bandmates will be back.

Rockers the Disturbed are handing over the proceeds from download sales of their new single to the families of the West Memphis Three.

The new track, "3," will be available at the group's official website and all monies from sales will benefit the Damien Echols Defense Fund, which helps cover legal fees, forensic testing, and investigative fees for the three men known as the West Memphis Three, who many believe were unjustly convicted of murder in Arkansas in 1994.

Fireball Ministry To Support H.I.M.; Tour With Disturbed Kicks Off This Saturday

L.A. hard rock quartet Fireball Ministry will support Finland's H.I.M. at the House of Blues in Hollywood, Calif. on June 11. This will be H.I.M.'s final U.S. performance of the summer, and the groups' first West Coast show together.
