Dispatch is an American indie/roots band. Consisting of Brad Corrigan (vocals, drums, guitar, percussion, and harmonica), Pete Francis Heimbold (vocals, bass and guitar), and Chad Urmston (vocals, guitar, bass, and percussion) they were active from 1996 to 2002, and came together three times for reunion concerts, first in 2004, again in 2007 and 2009. Additionally, in January 2011, the band announced that it will undertake a reunion tour and Dispatch is now back together as a band. The band was instrumental in the creation of the non-profit organization The Elias Fund.

After graduating from college the members of Dispatch relocated to the greater Boston, Massachusetts, area to continue the strong touring effort that would characterize their sound. Their live show progressed through the years to include extended jams, guest appearances, and mash ups of their songs with other popular artists' songs. Dispatch gained much recognition outside of New England, without any help from a label, thanks to peer-to-peer file sharing sites, as well as word-of-mouth.

Featuring mostly acoustic folk-rock songs, their debut album, “Silent Sleepless,” was released in 1996. They followed in 1998 with “Bang Bang” and “Four-Day Trials” in 1999. “Four-Day Trials” featured the tracks “Here We Go” and “Mission” which were re-recordings of tracks from Dispatch's second album, “Bang Bang.” The album also featured a cover of the Beastie Boys song “Root Down.”

Their fourth and final studio album, “Who Are We Living For?” was released in 2000. It featured the politically driven songs “Open Up,” “Time Served,” “Passerby” and “Blood.” In 2004, Universal Records re-released “Who Are We Living For?” with four additional tracks, including “Bulls on Parade” a cover of the 1996 Rage Against the Machine single.

After a hiatus, the band reformed and recorded a self-titled EP, “Dispatch EP” which was released in 2011. The band's first studio record in over ten years reached #42 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.
