It takes a cataclysmic event to derail Overrated/Underrated from its usual Friday spot. Currently the Oscars have been serving as that disruptive force, but this week interruption comes from the most unlikely source: a sports columnist from the Kansas City Star.

This is because Joe Posnanski has suggested on his blog that we stop voting artists into the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame and shift our focus to Hall-Worthy songs. Songs he deems "Iconic". Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Steve Winwood, recently named one of Rolling Stone magazine's "100 Greatest Singers of All Time," will ring in the New Year with a series of East Coast concert performances in January. Winwood's upcoming East Coast concert dates mark the first U.S. headline tour since 2007 for the legendary rock superstar, who last toured the states with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers in the summer of 2008.

The Jonas Brothers treated fans to a last-minute post-American Music Awards concert in Hollywood on Sunday night, which they booked just the day before.

Just hours after the trio claimed the AMA's favorite Breakthrough Artist award in Los Angeles, the Jonases took to the stage at the House of Blues on Sunset Strip to perform a free three-hour show, packed with guests and celebrities.

Mick Jagger has paid tribute to late rock 'n' roll pioneer Bo Diddley, hailing him as one of the leading influences on his band The Rolling Stones.

Legendary singer Diddley passed away at his home in Archer, Florida on Monday after a long battle with ill health, according to his spokeswoman Susan Clary.

Diddley was credited as a key figure in the transition from blues music to rock 'n' roll and influenced a host of legendary acts including Buddy Holly, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix.

Buddy Guy Pays Tribute To Eric Clapton At Crossroads All-Star Jam

Blues star Buddy Guy halted his headlining Crossroads Festival slot in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday to pay tribute to the event's organizer - Eric Clapton.

Guy ended an 11-hour show at Toyota Park, where 28,000 music fans caught performances by Clapton, Guy, B.B. King, John Mayer and Jeff Beck, among other guitar greats.

And Guy summed up the occasion when he paid tribute to Clapton, stating, "What a wonderful job this man has done. If we had more people in this world like him, it would be a better place."
