John Densmore
The Doors drummer John Densmore is putting pen to paper to reveal all about his longtime feud with band mates Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek.

The rocker will detail the legal spats between the existing band members in new book The Doors: Unhinged - Jim Morrison's Legacy Goes on Trial.

The trio has been at odds for years ever since Densmore blocked Krieger and Manzarek from touring as The Doors of the 21st Century a decade ago. The duo has since adopted the name Riders on the Storm - the title of a Doors hit.

Densmore also famously turned down a $15 million offer from bosses at car gia...

April 21st, 2011 7:53pm EDT
John Densmore
The Doors drummer John Densmore has just added to the value of his autograph after stating he'll never sign his name for a fan again.

The "Riders on the Storm" hitmaker has taken to his website to kindly ask fans to stop requesting his signature.

He writes, "The last several years I have been so flooded with requests that it is interfering with my personal life, and I am going to have to stop.

"Fans (or opportunists from ebay) track me when I land at any airport, follow me into the bathroom, and hang around my hotel, looking for my John Henry (autograph). It is unfortunate, but I have to...

Jim Morrison's Pardon Granted

December 9th, 2010 9:43pm EST
Jim Morrison
Rocker Jim Morrison has been posthumously pardoned on 41-year-old indecency charges following a unanimous vote by Florida lawmakers on Thursday.

The late Doors singer was arrested in Miami for indecent exposure at a 1969 concert, but Governor Charlie Crist recently launched a campaign to have the count wiped from state records, arguing it was time to forgive and forget.

Last week, Morrison's former bandmate John Densmore insisted the frontman only teased fans during the gig and did not actually expose himself onstage.

And the campaign has worked - the pardon was granted during a Clemency...

April 6th, 2010 7:00am EDT
The Doors
Former Doors drummer John Densmore desperately wanted to save his tragic bandmate Jim Morrison before he went too far - but was locked out from his inner circle of friends and enablers.

Morrison died in a Paris, France hotel room in 1971 after years of drug and alcohol abuse, and Densmore admits it pained him to watch his friend spiral into a self-destructive hell.

Densmore tried his best to warn Morrison of the fate that awaited him if he didn't change his ways, but, by the time Morrison moved to France, he could no longer reach him.

Promoting new Tom DiCillo Doors documentary "When You...

April 8th, 2008 7:34pm EDT
The Doors
You've been behind the music, read the dirt and seen the concerts, now experience what it takes, and meet who is involved, in the making of a Classic Album. Eagle Rock Entertainment is proud to announce the April 22 release of The Doors, as the next installment of its much-lauded "Classic Albums" DVD series.
