Former 'American Idol' Contestants Ace Young And Diana DeGarmo Got Engaged During Live Finale
Wednesday night's American Idol season 11 finale wasn't just about winner Phillip Phillips, or runner-up Jessica Sanchez, for that matter; the night was also a big celebration for two former Idol castoffs.
Season five finalist Ace Young and season three runner-up Diana DeGarmo, who met and began dating in 2010 while starring in the Broadway production of "Hair", got engaged during the night's live event.
"(Idol) has always been home to us and I felt that this would be the perfect place to ask a simple question," Young said to host Ryan Seacrest. He then turned to his bride-to-be and added...

Welcome to the American Idol finale Mega-Diary! Our annual blow-by-blow recap of what used to be the third-biggest night in television and is now somewhere between the 14th Monday Night Football game and the 15th Monday Night Football game.
But no bother! We’ll press on. And here’s a prediction before the show even starts: The contestants will start singing a song and mid-way through they’ll introduce the original artist to join them onstage. Sorry if I just ruined the show for you.
8:03 – What more could I want to start off the finale than my favorite contestant from this year, Heejun Ha...

'American Idol' Recap: Was This The Most Boring Finale Ever?
The most boring finalists ever. That seemed to be the conventional wisdom going into the evening. That, despite a strong start, this season of ‘Idol’ was destined to fall into oblivion with two dull finalists that wouldn’t be able to deliver the finale this Renaissance season deserved.
Yes, that might be true. It may have been more interesting to see James square off against Pia or Jacob take on Haley, but that doesn’t necessarily mean this is the most boring collection of contestants ever, does it?
Here’s a ranking of finale pairings from least boring to most boring:
9 (Least Boring): S...

Miranda Lambert dominated last night's Academy of Country Music Awards after taking home four trophies (check out all the winners here), but did she dominate the red carpet?
Carrie Underwood looked resplendent in a grape-colored gown with sequin embellishment, while Taylor Swift opted for a more subtle look in a yellow dress.
Miranda Lambert looked like Aphrodite in a white, Goddess-like gown and later changed into a short strapless hot pink frock.
Julianne Hough dazzled in a sleeveless peach dress with a turqouise and gold bracelet.

CMT's 'Gone Country' Is Surprisingly Entertaining
"Gone Country," a show in which mostly washed-up singers are resurrected as country stars, is the first show, to my knowledge, on CMT that I've watched in its entirety. I wouldn't call myself a country fan by any means, and at first glance this didn't seem like an appealing show at all. That was until I saw the lineup of goof balls that they had enlisted:
Dee Snider: He's the cross-dressing front man of Twisted Sister whose last major hit was over 20 years ago. I "met" him once in Chicago. He was going through a revolving door with me. I threw some metal horns at him with my hand...
