A Day to Remember is an American rock band from Ocala, Florida. Founded in 2003 by guitarist Tom Denny and drummer Bobby Scruggs, the band is mainly known for their unusual amalgamation of metalcore and pop punk as a musical style.

Early on they were signed to Indianola Records, from which they recorded their full-length debut album, titled “And Their Name Was Treason” in May 2005.

Soon after they signed with Victory Records and with their new drummer Alex Shellnutt went into Zing Studios to record their second full-length. The album, titled “For Those Who Have Heart” was released in January 2007 on Victory Records and peaked at #17 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers Albums chart and #43 on the Top Independent Albums chart. In September 2007, they put a cover of Kelly Clarkson's hit single, “Since U Been Gone” on their MySpace page. This was later featured on the re-release of “For Those Who Have Heart,” issued in February 2008.

A remixed and remastered version of their first album, “And Their Name Was Treason,” titled “Old Record,” was released in October 2008 through Victory Records.

Their third studio album, “Homesick,” was released in February 2009 and peaked at #21 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, #2 on the Hard Rock Albums chart and at #1 on the Top Independent Albums chart.

In June 2009, the band announced that Tom Denney had left A Day to Remember. “What Separates Me from You,” their fourth studio album, was released in November 2010 and peaked at #11 on the Billboard 200.
