When other MCs were trying to show how tough and hardcore they could be, Dane usually went for more of a lighthearted approach. Though Dana Dane 4 Ever isn't quite as strong as the New Yorker's first album, the CD offers many examples of his witty storytelling. Especially amusing are the sexual escapades described on &"Bedie Boo," "Tales From the Dane Side" and "What Dirty Minds You Have." Dane occasionally turns to more serious subject matter and takes a look at the dangers of urban life. "Johnny the Dipper," for example, examines the deadly consequences of a youth's life of crime.
