Crazy Town is an American rap metal band formed in 1995 by Bret Mazur and Seth Binzer. Mazur and Binzer, who go by the names of Epic and Shifty Shellshock, respectively, started collaborating in 1995 in Los Angeles.

It was not until early 1999 that Crazy Town, now consisting of Mazur, Binzer, Rust Epique, James Bradley Jr. (aka.JBJ), Doug Miller, Adam Goldstein (aka DJ AM) and Antonio Lorenzo "Trouble" Valli, began recording in earnest.

Crazy Town's debut album, “The Gift of Game,” arrived in 1999 and was followed by a supporting tour that year with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The first two singles from “The Gift of Game,” “Toxic” and “Darkside,” were released but failed to chart. Epique left the band before the album was released and Kraig Tyler took his place.

In 2000 DJ AM left the band. Crazy Town then released their third single in 2001, “Butterfly” which peaked at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles chart. DJ AM returned to the group and Crazy Town toured with Ozzfest later that year.

The band's second album, “Darkhorse,” was released in 2002, and moved more towards a rock oriented sound. The album achieved moderate commercial success, spawning two singles, “Drowning” and “Hurt You So Bad.” However, the band broke up in 2003.

Mazur went on to form The Pharmacy, a record-producing company. Epique formed the band pre)Thing but died of a heart attack before their debut album, “22nd Century Lifestyle” was released in 2004. Binzer contributed vocals to Paul Oakenfold's 2002 single “Starry Eyed Surprise” and released his first solo album “Happy Love Sick” in 2004 under his alias Shifty Shellshock. After Crazy Town, Kraig Tyler joined up with Eric Powell in the side project 16Volt.

2007 marked a Crazy Town reunion and saw the band head back into the studio to work on a new album which was never released. Tragedy struck in 2009 when DJ AM was found dead of an accidental drug overdose. 2010 saw the band perform at the SRH FEST in California and showcase a new song called “Come Inside.” 2011brought more new songs for Crazy Town with “Hard To Get” and “Hit That Switch.”
