Miranda Lambert dominated last night's Academy of Country Music Awards after taking home four trophies (check out all the winners here), but did she dominate the red carpet?

Carrie Underwood looked resplendent in a grape-colored gown with sequin embellishment, while Taylor Swift opted for a more subtle look in a yellow dress.

Miranda Lambert looked like Aphrodite in a white, Goddess-like gown and later changed into a short strapless hot pink frock.

Julianne Hough dazzled in a sleeveless peach dress with a turqouise and gold bracelet.

The month of August brought the U.S. two big music festivals, one in Denver and one in the Twin Cities. Oh, wait, what's that you say? These weren't music festivals, but the Democratic and Republican National Conventions? Interesting. In the past, presidential candidates have used music as part of their campaigns, but never before like this. This summer, the 2008 Democratic and Republican National Conventions crossed politics and music so much that they rose to concert-like levels.
