Bucky Covington Escapes Theft Trial
Theft charges against country star Bucky Covington have been dropped due to insufficient evidence.
The one-time American Idol finalist was accused of stealing $1,500 at a concert in Florida in June.
Concert promoter William Fuller filed a complaint with the Volusia County sheriff's department after learning Covington's entourage had collected cash from concertgoers attending the Iron Horse Saloon gig after he fell ill and had to be taken to hospital.
Fuller claims he left his employees in charge of collecting the cash and Covington's people had no right to take money from fans.
