Chris Cornell Slams Kanye West Over Festival Volume
Kanye West infuriated Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell at Australia's Big Day Out festival after the rapper's sound system disrupted the band's set when he started 45 minutes late.
The Stronger hit-maker was one of the headlining acts at the event on the Gold Coast on Sunday night, but a heavy downpour meant West couldn't begin his show until almost an hour after he was due to take to the stage.
The volume of his set infiltrated Soundgarden's performance on a nearby stage, prompting the group's fans to boo and Cornell himself to speak out over the noise.

Soundgarden Reunited For The Fans
Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell is adamant the rock band reunited for the sake of its fans, insisting: "It's not a cash in."
The Black Hole Sun hitmakers announced last year they were back together for the first time in 12 years, and it emerged in February they are now in the studio working on new songs.
Bassist Ben Shepherd sparked speculation the reunion was money-driven after he confessed he's broke and "technically homeless" - but Cornell has now spoken out to reassure fans the rockers did not plan the comeback for cash.
He tells Mojo magazine, "It's not a cash-in, we control what...

Newly Reunited Soundgarden's Best Music Videos
With Chris Cornell announcing a Soundgarden reunion, it's a great excuse to take a look back at the band's eclectic music videos.
This jittery, sporadic video for Rusty Cage will probably make your eyes hurt, but it's the style of bizarre music video that Soundgarden loved to produce. It also features some of Chris Cornell's best vocals and a great bass guitar arrangement.
Grunge at its core, Outshined is fairly run-of-the-mill as far as music videos are concerned. But if you want to see Chris Cornell shirtless, look no further...

Chris Cornell Shaves Guitarist's Head On Stage
Rocker Chris Cornell shocked fans with a hair-raising encore at a recent New York City concert - he shaved his guitarist's head on stage.

And his sidekick Yogi Lonich made the crowd roar with a three-minute guitar solo while his long mane fell to the floor.
One concertgoer tells the New York Daily News, "He shaved (his guitarist) completely bald - and that guy had at least 12 inches of hair!"

Collateral Damage From Robert Plant's Decision To Nix Zep Reunion
Since the surviving members of Led Zeppelin reformed last December for a one-off show to pay tribute to late Atlantic Records founder and legend Ahmet Ertegun, the man who discovered and brought us some of the most talented artists of all-time (seriously, we really could use another Ahmet right about now-- but since the almighty dollar overshadows the need for actual talent we can forget that) and gave a handful of folks in England the greatest holiday gift ever, there has been a weekly story about the band going on tour. And not going on tour. But wanting to tour. And not wanting to tour. ...
