Hip-hop star Common has pledged to stop using gay slurs in his songs after homosexual fans made their feelings known about his lyrics. The singer admits he didn't realize his words were upsetting fans until he was approached by two devotees after a concert.

R&B star Common's new album is set to be a star-studded affair with Lily Allen, Kanye West, D'angelo, Will.I.Am and late rapper J Dilla all appearing on tracks.
