The Comas are an indie rock band, formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina by Andy Herod in March 1998. Through four albums, they have evolved into a dynamic rock band. After releasing two solid albums, ''Wave to Make Friends'' in 1999 and ''A Def Needle in Tomorrow'' in 2000, The Comas struck publicity gold after Herod's much-publicized breakup with ''Dawson's Creek'' actress Michelle Williams and wrote the breakup album ''Conductor''. Rolling Stone called ''Conductor'' one of the "best records you didn't hear" of 2004 and Spin Magazine featured them as a "band to watch."
