Color Me Badd star Bryan Abrams has been jailed after allegedly threatening to kill his girlfriend.

Some boy bands dance and sing while others sing and play their own instruments. Whichever type of boy band you prefer, there definitely have been a number of first-rate and very popular ones to entertain us over the years.

They could sing, they could dance and for almost a decade, they ruled the airwaves, maintaining a stranglehold on their bustling, female, TRL-addicted audience. They were dubbed “the Boy Bands” and during their Golden Age, the likes of 'N-Sync, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees and O-Town spawned a legion of imitators that seemed to multiply unchecked.

VH1 gives rockers, rappers, boy banders and fallen music execs a cozy spot in the home for music and pop culture. The network just greenlit six new series: "Irv Gotti Project," "Man Band," "ego trip's White Rapper Show," "Whitestarr Project," "Rags To Riches" and "Bridging The Gap." More info after the jump:

Former Color Me Badd singer Sam Watters married former American Idol contestant Tamyra Gray in Italy last weekend. Watters, 36, and Gray - a finalist from the first season of the TV talent show - wed on the island of Capri in the Gulf of Naples.
