Some familiar faces joined the new during The Voice’s semi-final eliminations. Host Carson Daly welcomed special guests including Dia Frampton, Beverly McClellan, Vicci Martinez and Javier Colon, all of whom were last year's finalists.

The eight hopefuls, Tony Lucca, Erin Willett, Chris Mann, Jamar Rogers, Jermaine Paul, Katrina Parker, Lindsey Pavao, and Juliet Simms, battled it out on Monday’s episode, and discovered tonight what the coach judges and America thought of their efforts.

The process is a little complicated, involving 100 points for each coach to split between their team mem...

Here's the latest on and around NBC's The Voice: coach Adam Levine had a very busy Monday, on not one but four TV shows on the same day! Miss any? We've got the scoop.

If you've been keeping up, you know that Adam has been making the TV rounds of recent, appearing on NBC's Today and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. However, he took one step closer to world domination when three of his TV appearances ended up airing on the same day as a new episode of The Voice.

Top 12 Memorable Moments From 'The Voice'

2/5/2012 9:00am EST
The Voice
NBC's The Voice starts its highly-anticipated second season tonight. In its honor, here's a look back at the top 12 most memorable moments from the show so far!

There were a lot of moments to love from season one. Each of the show's thirty-two artists had at least one instance where we took notice of them, whether it was Elenowen confusing coach Adam Levine by being more than one person, or Nakia bringing the house down with his rendition of "Whataya Want From Me."

And that was just the stuff you saw on TV. From the artists to the coaches to the crew, these were the best people I've eve...

Brittany's 'The Voice' Blog: Catching Up With Xenia & Alison Haislip!

1/24/2012 11:20am EST
Here's the latest on and around NBC's The Voice: Team Blake's Xenia and correspondent Alison Haislip give me the lowdown on their new projects!

The youngest contestant in season one, Xenia turned quite a few heads with her unique voice and heart-melting personality on her way to becoming the semifinalist for Blake Shelton's team. His decision to save her over Patrick Thomas was a surprise that kept us talking well after it happened. But we were priveleged to watch this talented young lady blossom in front of our eyes.

After the show ended, she sang a duet with Jon McLaughlin and released ...

Musician coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, along with host Carson Daly, social media correspondent Christina Milian, and producer Mark Burnett, spoke to the press Friday night during a panel at NBC's January 2012 TCA presentation. They had plenty to say about season two, what's happened since season one, and even the coaches' Twitter habits.

Here's the latest on and around NBC's The Voice: I look back on what each team from Season 1 accomplished after the show. Who had the best 2010?

What happened after The Voice ended? We know that the Top 8 artists went on a national tour and that a CD of highlights was released. The majority of the artists continued to actively perform across the country, and the coaches kept themselves busy with touring, new albums and Grammy nominations.

Behind the scenes, Christina Milian replaced Alison Haislip as the show's social media correspondent, and teams were expanded from 8 to 12 artists for...

Here's the latest on and around NBC's The Voice: Team Blake's Xenia releases Sing You Home, while Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green have something to say about the postal service...

Xenia has a new EP just in time for the holidays. Sing You Home contains four new songs from the Team Blake semifinalist. You can download the EP here.

While the record may be short, it's an outstanding sampling that shows how much the 17-year-old has come out of her shell and continues to improve since her time on Team Blake. She sounds miles away from the 'shy girl' whose nerves got the better of her in battle ...

Here's the latest on and around NBC's The Voice: reviewing Dia Frampton's Red and Javier Colon's Christmas EP, plus new video from NBC and an interview with the man producing Cee Lo Green's next album!

In last week's edition, we celebrated the release of Dia's new album - and as promised, it's time to take a full look at Red.

Here are ten tracks that take full advantage of the Voice runner-up's unique sound and musicianship. Lead single "The Broken Ones" is still quietly haunting even though we've had the chance to hear it many, many times by now. The other songs show Dia's range, but t...

Commentary: The 5 Things I'm Thankful For In 2011

The Voice
With Thanksgiving tomorrow, many Starpulse writers are giving thanks for our favorite pop-culture moments. Here's what's on my list, from a reality show to a play that was all too real.

My list is a bit different from those of my colleagues. I've had a very blessed - and also very difficult - year that has had amazing highs and been marred by literally life-changing lows. When I look back on 2011, I'm not thinking just about things I enjoyed, but experiences and people that made a difference.

It goes without saying that I'd like to thank my loved ones and the doctors, surgeons, nurses, ...

I start this week catching up with season 1 runner-up and Team Blake finalist Dia Frampton, whose new album Red will hit stores two weeks from today, on December 6. Dia was kind enough to chat with me about The Voice and how her life has been post-show.

How much did things change for her after The Voice? "A lot," she confided, adding that she started "right after [the finale], literally the next day, to write songs and record, because I was ho...

The Voice
Here's the latest on and around NBC's The Voice: the coaches chat with me about what's ahead in season 2!

In its first season, The Voice was a surprise hit. Some say it even saved NBC's season. It changed people's lives. And this year, it's got the most coveted time slot on television: following the Super Bowl. No pressure, right?

Not when you're a foursome of award-winning coaches, possibly the most recognized former MTV employee, and definitely the most well-known reality TV producer ever.

Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, host Carson Daly...

On June 28, Team Adam's Javier Colon was named "The Voice." Here's our profile of season one's winner. Since then, Javier has been busy recording his new (as yet untitled) album, which will arrive in stores on November 21. You can read my interview with him from the day after his victory.

Casey Weston
Here's the latest on and around NBC's The Voice: I shine the spotlight on Casey Weston, Team Adam's semifinalist.

If there was a surprise in season one of The Voice, it was Casey Weston. The Nashville teenager (she hadn't even graduated high school at the time her Voice journey started!) knocked out Tim Mahoney in the battle rounds, and then turned a few more heads when she beat out Jeff Jenkins for the second semifinalist position on Team Adam, alongside eventual winner Javier Colon.

Making the most of a second chance at her blind audition, she performed a wonderful version of the clas...

Brittany's 'The Voice' Blog: Catching Up With...Tim Mahoney

9/27/2011 10:00am EDT
Tim Mahoney
Here's the latest on and around NBC's The Voice: I shine the spotlight on Minnesota native Tim Mahoney, the soulful singer whose talent got a huge boost when Adam Levine thought he was a girl.

Crowned the "King of Almost" on the series for his persistent attempts to make it big in the music business, Tim left his mark on The Voice instantly and by complete accident. His rendition of "Bring It On Home To Me" won over the front man of Maroon 5 in blind auditions, but Adam bashfully admitted that he turned around thinking that Tim was of the female persuasion. One of The Voice's most...

Brittany's 'The Voice' Blog: Catching Up With...Vicci Martinez

Vicci Martinez
Here's the latest on and around NBC's The Voice: I shine the spotlight on rocker Vicci Martinez, the semifinalist from Team Cee Lo and favorite of Javier Colon's kids.

Vicci's personality struck a chord with her coach and the fans, and season one champ Javier told Jay Leno that his two daughters loved her. It was easy to see why, as she brought a fire to every song that she performed through the season. Giving a roaring rendition of Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" in blind auditions, she edged out Niki Dawson in a battle round duet of Pink's "F--king Perfect," then steamrolled her way thro...

Here's the latest on and around NBC's The Voice: we shine the spotlight on folk singer Rebecca Loebe from Team Adam, who's not just a talented singer, but a true down to earth individual, who keeps in touch with herself and her fans no matter where music takes her.

Rebecca won over coach Adam Levine with her haunting rendition of Nirvana's "Come As You Are," and in the battle rounds, she teamed with medical student Devon Barley to deliver a fantastic version of Radiohead's "Creep." Though her journey on the show ended there, her career in music is still moving full speed ahead. R...

The Voice
Here's the latest on and around NBC's The Voice: auditions for Season 2 wrapped last week in Los Angeles, and yours truly was there. Here's my audition-day dish.

It's been hard for me to talk about Season 2 auditions, because I haven't been at any of them (although Nakia did give some insight on the Houston round in a previous blog). That changed on August 30, when they arrived at the Los Angeles Forum. Now, I should note that this blog is going to be from the first person and not a news report...because I wasn't there to cover the auditions. I was there to audition.

I can tell you what...

CD Review: 'The Voice' Season 1 Highlights

8/12/2011 8:00am EDT
The Voice
I've made no secret of my passion for NBC's The Voice. Handing me the new season 1 compilation album? Somewhat like an early Christmas present. On the music alone, it's a wonderful album, but whether or not you're interested in it will vary greatly, depending on how familiar you are with the show.

Thanks to an existing partnership with iTunes, if you're a huge fan like myself, you've probably already downloaded some if not all of the contents as they became available after the episodes aired. These aren't any different than the previous versions. All of them are still available t...

7/28/2011 8:00am EDT
The Voice
How do you follow up the smashing success of NBC's The Voice? With an equally fantastic concert tour that proves the show's talented artists are here to stay.

Almost exactly a month after the finale, the top eight contestants - winner Javier Colon, finalists Dia Frampton, Vicci Martinez, and Beverly McClellan, and semifinalists Casey Weston, Xenia, Nakia and Frenchie Davis - have joined together for a six-city tour that opened last night at the Gibson Ampitheatre in Los Angeles. Make no mistake about it, this is not a quick attempt to cash in on the show's popularity, nor is it recycling...

Q&A: What's Next For 'The Voice's' Javier Colon?

7/1/2011 2:49pm EDT
The Voice
Wednesday night, Javier Colon was crowned the season one winner of The Voice - and Thursday afternoon he joined me to start talking about what happens next! Here's what the Connecticut native had to say about being on the hugely popular series, his future plans and of course, the most important subject...his family.

It's been less than 24 hours since your win. What have you been doing?

Javier Colon: There was a Voice wrap party that they had for us, which ironically was just right across the street from my old record label, Capitol Records. It was very strange to get out of the limo and...

'The Voice' Judges Sign For Season Two

Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton have all signed up to another season of hit TV talent show The Voice.

Maroon 5 frontman Levine beat his fellow judges/coaches on Wednesday night's final when his pick Javier Colon won $100,000 and a recording contract.

Now, the famous foursome have announced they will all return to mentor a new bunch of wannabes for a second series.

NBC executive Paul Telegdy says, "Our fantastic coaches were integral to the tremendous success of The Voice this year and we are thrilled that they are all returning. We look forward to buil...

'The Voice': Meet Javier Colon

6/30/2011 5:01pm EDT
The Voice
Wednesday night, Javier Colon was named the winner of NBC's The Voice - so it's time to get you introduced to the man we'll hopefully be hearing a lot more from!

The soulful Connecticut native has been around music for a very long time. His father worked at a radio station, he started songwriting to win a girl over in seventh grade ("it was horrible, but it got the job done"), and he went on to attend the University of Hartford's Hartt School of Music, from which he graduated with a major in Music Education.

Degree in hand, he set off to start a performing career, but like many aspiring...
