Get Your 'Dose' Of Dean Roland From Collective Soul

April 20th, 2012 6:55pm EDT
dean
While we all loved Collective Soul and their hit song “Shine” from the early 90’s, we and are happy to announce that the band will be back on tour this summer with the 2012 Dosage Tour. Band member, Dean Roland spoke with us about the tour, the VIP experience they are offering fans and his newest project.

Starpulse: Tell me about the 2012 Dosage Tour.

Dean: We decided a few months ago that since we haven’t toured in I think 3 year (we have done shows here and there) that we wanted to do a tour. ‘Dosage’ was one of our favorite records and there were several songs on that record that we ha...

Concert Review: Collective Soul At Centennial Park

September 9th, 2009 8:15am EDT
Collective Soul
The massive crowd at Centennial (Olympic) Park was dominated by red and maroon…red for the Alabama fans and maroon for the Virginia Tech fans. Their teams would square off later at the Georgia Dome for a college football week-one match up. Lucky for them - and everyone else here - Georgia's own Collective Soul had agreed to put on a free concert in the heart of the revitalized downtown Atlanta. This would be one of those shows for which the planets would align: the weather was perfecto, the sounds were exquisite, and the SEC fans were all amenable (even the Hokies, who would soon experie...

And The 'American Idol' Winner Is...David Cook!

May 22nd, 2008 8:34am EDT
With millions on the edge of their seats, these final words spoken by host Ryan Seacrest echoed throughout L.A.'s Nokia Theatre last night: "The winner of 'American Idol' 2008 is David...Cook!"

Fans leapt off their seats and screamed with joy, while the newly crowned (and shocked) 25-year-old David Cook embraced his gracious rival, 17-year-old David Archuleta. Cook's mother and brother clambered to the stage, eager to celebrate the former bartender's new title. With tears brimming at his eyes, David Cook stood speechless for a good minute until Ryan Seacrest invited him to sing thi...

Safetysuit Lives Up To Their Name; Debut Disc Out May 13

March 23rd, 2008 10:00am EDT
Safetysuit
Meet Safetysuit – four talented musicians from Tulsa who are as comfortable with their music as they are with each other. When asked what makes a good song, singer/guitarist Doug Brown replies with a simple answer, "quintessential good melody and good lyrics." This recipe clearly works for Safetysuit whose songs capture the grandeur and depth of U2, with an imaginative pop sensibility at its core and a dizzying wall of guitars as its backdrop.

After stirring up a huge buzz on Tulsa's local circuit under the name Crew, the band headed off to Nashville to record their first EP, playing g...

Counting Crows
Hey, it's Adam, I just wanted to let all our fans know that Counting Crows will hit the road this summer on a tour of America's baseball parks. We're gonna hit 23 different ballyards all across the country (they're all listed below), mostly in smaller towns.

One of the reasons I'm so excited about this little jaunt we've decided to call "The Rock 'n' Roll Triple Play Ballpark Tour" is that we got really lucky and talked both Live and Collective Soul into coming along for the summer. We...
