Cold is an American post-grunge band, formed in 1996 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Their debut album titled, “Cold,” was released in 1998. The album produced two singles, “Go Away” and “Give.”

“13 Ways to Bleed on Stage,” their second studio album, was released in 2000. The album peaked at #98 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. The singles, “Just Got Wicked,” “End of the World” and “No One” were all Top 25 hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The album was later certified gold.

Their third studio album, “Year of the Spider,” was released in 2003 and debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 while certifying gold. A particularly catchy track, “Stupid Girl” served as the album's lead single and was the only Cold single to crack the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, where it peaked at #87. It also reached #4 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. “Remedy” was used by WWE as the theme for the Backlash 2003 pay-per-view.

“A Different Kind of Pain,” their fourth album, was released in 2005 and peaked at #26 on the Billboard 200. The singles released for this album were “Happens All the Time” followed by “A Different Kind of Pain” which were both Top 30 hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

In November 2006, a MySpace post announced that Cold had decided to disband permanently. In 2009 the band reunited for a reunion tour.
