Interview: 'How I Met Josh Radnor'

January 15th, 2009 10:48am EST
Josh Radnor
I fully admit this particular column is going to be anything but non-partisan. Regular readers will know that I am an unabashed fan of CBS's Monday night sitcom How I Met Your Mother. Once even going so far as to declare it the best show on television. So, it comes as no surprise that I was absolutely thrilled to have this long conversation with the series star, Josh Radnor, who plays the lead character, Ted Mosby.

Josh Radnor and I discuss New York living, the awesomeness of co-star Neil Patrick Harris and the back story behind Neil's People Magazine interview when he decided to come ...

This Is NEXT
This Is NEXT is a new compilation series showcasing today's best independent artists. ADA president Andy Allen sums the compilation's relevance best by saying, "Indie music has entered the mainstream. Hollywood and Madison Avenue are increasingly using tracks from indie artists in their projects, and yo...

December 31st, 2006 12:00pm EST
Arctic Monkeys
From Arctic Monkeys to Zutons to Britney's divorce to the most overplayed song of the year (hint: it's not James Blunt's You're Beautiful), 2006 was unmatched in musical diversity. There were albums we didn't even realize came out and artists we didn't even realize were still around. There were reunions and breakups too. Here's a brief summary of 2006: The Year in Music...

The new year kicked off somewhat quietly; however, it was the debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, from the Arctic Monkeys, the band that U.S. critics bashed despite storming to the top of the...

The Hourly Radio Release Debut CD, "History Will Never Hold Me"

September 6th, 2006 12:25pm EDT
The Hourly Radio
C'mon, admit it. It's been years since you've heard a band that didn't sound like every other band on the planet. It came clear to all present at recent shows in New York at the Annex and Bowery Ballroom (supporting Stellastarr*) and a run of dates in the United Kingdom, that this band has something special. Perhaps it's something in Aaron Closson's yearning high tenor and sincere...
