Even though there were a lot of cant miss records that saw a 2009 release, there are those were good enough to warrant year end consideration, but not quite Top Ten material, thus the need for this list, Top Ten Close Calls of 2009. Fair To Midland Announces Tour Dates With Serj Tankian

Fair to Midland
Kerrang has called Fair to Midland "utterly captivating" and the LA Times has praised them for their "potent emotional hard rock."

They are currently being featured in October's issue of Alternative Press and their second single "Tall Tales Taste Like Sour Grapes" off their album Fables From a Mayfly debuted at #3 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart.

Fair to Midland is currently touring the US with Chevelle, and has also announced a bunch of dates with Serj Tankian: Oct 28 in San Francisco (where FTM just opened for the Smashing Pumpkins in July) and the UK and Europe in November.

Evanescence has announced the second leg of U.S. dates on their World Tour. Beginning in Fresno, California on March 16, the rock group, featuring Amy Lee (vocals, piano, keyboards), Terry Balsamo (guitar), John LeCompt (guitar), Rocky Gray (drums), and Tim McCord (bass), will perform 14 dates in arenas. The dates will go on-sale on Saturday, January 27.
