More Than Words rockers Extreme have reunited to record a new album - 12 years after they split. The Boston, Massachusetts, band reformed briefly in 2001 and 2006 but their planned 2008 reunion will be a more lengthy get together.

Members of Boston past and present were among those who joined forces to pay tribute to the band's late frontman Brad Delp at a memorial concert on Sunday. More Than A Feeling singer Delp killed himself in March at the age of 55. He had been suffering from depression.

More Than Words hitmakers Extreme are fueling reports of a full reunion after two recent get togethers a month apart. The group, fronted by Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt, performed together at a Metal Skool show in Los Angeles last month and the original line-up reunited for a New York benefit concert in honor of music manager Steven Hoffman earlier this month.
