Chubby Checker Sues Hewlett-Packard Over 'Chubby Checker' APP

February 13th, 2013 2:33pm EST
Chubby Checker
Rock 'n' roll icon Chubby Checker's lawyers have filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against bosses at technology giant Hewlett-Packard over a software application that estimates the size of a man's penis based on his shoe size.

The Twist hit-maker, real name Ernest Evans, is far from amused by The Chubby Checker app, and he filed suit in Florida on Monday.

The application boasts: "Any of you ladies out there just start seeing someone new and wondering what the size of their member is? All you need to do is find out the man's shoe size and plug it in... Now with the Chubby Checker ther...

Kristin Cavallari Sent Home

Monday night had me sniffling off and on throughout the show, so I was crossing my fingers that Tuesday night’s elimination show wouldn’t also make me sad. Going into it, I was pretty sure it would be fine, and not just because Len was reported to be dancing on the show. It also just seemed obvious to me that Chaz would got home. Maybe Nancy. No big loss either way. But was I right?

Here’s where the leader board stood after Monday night’s show:

1. Ricki and Derek - 27
2. Chynna and Tony - 26
2. J.R. and Karina - 26
3. Rob and Cheryl - 24
3. Kristin and Mark - 24
3. Hope and...

'The Twist' Voted Best Single Ever

September 11th, 2008 3:02pm EDT
Chubby Checker
Rock 'n' roll legend Chubby Checker's signature song The Twist has been voted the most popular single ever in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The legendary dance-floor number heads a list of the top tunes of the last 50 years. And, in a shock result, neither Elvis Presley nor The Beatles managed a song in the top five.

Checker is delighted the poll gave his most famous song the credit it deserves, stating, "I'm glad they've finally recognized it. Anyplace on the planet, when someone has a song that has a beat, they're on the floor dancing apart to the beat, and befo...

Chubby Checker To Perform With Justin Timberlake And Beyonce?

August 31st, 2007 9:35am EDT
Chubby Checker
Rock'n'Roll legend Chubby Checker wants to record duets with Justin Timberlake and Beyonce Knowles - because he believes he inspired their music and dancing. Checker claims his 1960 hit The Twist revolutionized dancing, and Timberlake and Knowles are his disciples.

He says, "Before Chubby Checker there was no dancing apart to the beat. The world forever changed the way it danced. I'd love to play with Justin Timberlake or Beyonce, because every time these kids throw their arms up in the air or move their feet, they're doing my dances. I have a connection with these young people.
