Latino songwriter/producer Fabio Alonso Salgado is "out of medical danger", according to Puerto Rico singing pal Chayanne. Salgado, known also as Estefano, was gunned down by one of his employees in Miami, Florida last month and critically wounded in the chest and the back of the head.

The 7th Annual Latin Grammy Awards nominations were announced today, and Colombian singer/songwriter Shakira led the nominations with five. Shakira's five nominations include: Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Short Form Music Video for "La Tortura," and Album Of The Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Album for Fijación Oral Vol. 1.
