Vanessa Carlton Cancels Shows Due To Lost Pregnancy

Singer Vanessa Carlton shared some sad news with fans yesterday while explaining why she had to cancel four tour dates in November.

In a lengthy post on her Facebook page, Carlton revealed she lost her pregnancy due to fallopian pregnancy.  She writes, "I announced that I was pregnant during the first week of tour. The day after our NYC show on Oct 15th, I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy, or in my case it was a fallopian pregnancy (the embryo settled in my tube, which is the width of a straw.) Singer Cyndi Lauper is to perform a star-studded pre-Christmas benefit concert to raise money for homeless gay youth.

Norah Jones, Debbie Harry, Chely Wright, Vanessa Carlton and Amy Lee will be among the acts taking to the stage at Lauper's Home For the Holidays show at New York City's Beacon Theatre on December 4th.

Lauper, a longtime advocate for gay rights, will donate all proceeds from the show to her True Colors Fund, which helps young gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people suffering tough times.

A dog accused of attacking Vanessa Carlton in May has been saved from death after the pet's owner proved the teeth marks on the singer's leg did not match those of the pooch.

The A Thousand Miles hit-maker was jogging near her father's home in Shohola, Pennsylvania when a pit-bull reportedly broke through its owner's electric fence and sunk its teeth into the star's flesh. Carlton suffered five puncture wounds on her leg and had to be treated by medics for the injury.

Singer Vanessa Carlton has 'outed' herself as bisexual - in front of an 18,000-strong crowd at a gay and lesbian festival in Nashville, Tennessee.

The A Thousand Miles star was headlining the Nashville Pride Festival at the city's Riverfront Park on Sunday when she told the huge crowd of revelers, "I've never said this before, but I am a proud bisexual woman."

Vanessa Carlton's dad says his daughter was bitten by a pit bull while jogging near his Pennsylvania home last weekend, according to usatoday.com.

Vanessa is being treated with antibiotics following the incident, which took place on Sunday, May 2. Animal control officials put the dog under a 10-day home quarantine.

The 29-year-old singer is best known for her 2002 hit "A Thousand Miles."
