Busta Rhymes Charged With Assault

Hip-hop star Busta Rhymes has been charged with assaulting a fan and illegal possession of a weapon, following his arrest on Saturday night.

Rhymes, real name Trevor Smith, was arrested as he attempted to leave Randalls Island, New York City, on Saturday after his performance at the AmsterJam concert.

Smith, 34, stands accused of kicking Roberto Lebron repeatedly in the head and body on a Manhattan street on August 12, leaving the fan to seek hospital treatment for concussion, a split lip and an injured wrist.
