Tom Cruise helped to nurse his "Rock Of Ages" co-star Julianne Hough back to health after she injured herself during a dance scene.

The pair was filming an energetic routine when dancer-turned-actress Hough lost her footing and ended up in a heap on the floor, and she admits she had to pinch herself when she found Cruise helping her back to her feet.

She tells People magazine, "He took care of me on set. He was making sure I was OK, and I was like, 'Somebody cares about me, and it's Tom Cruise!'"

The hip-hop star is accused of using Christopher R. Liggio's song Changing the Locks/Disco Rabbit on his record Changing the Locks, which features vocals from Ashanti.

Liggio filed papers at New York federal court on Wednesday also claiming music companies including Entertainment One, Universal Music Publishing, Songs of Universal Inc. and Pookitoots LLC also used the track without his consent.

Russell Brand has joined the cast of movie musical Rock Of Ages following months of speculation.

The British funnyman was trying to schedule the role of Lonny around his summer plans with wife Katy Perry and now it appears he's sorted out the logistics.

He'll join Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, Alec Baldwin and Mary J. Blige among the supporting cast of the film.

Little-known Mexican actor Diego Boneta was announced as the star of the project last week.
