November 16th, 2011 9:50am EST
Glee 305
It seems like ‘Glee’ has just decided to pretend last week’s West Side Virgin Story never happened. Thank goodness! What a relief it is to jump right back into election season and age-inappropriate relationships! Puck leads the boys in a sexually charged performance of Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” within the first five minutes of the episode and it's clear that we can put 'The First Time' behind us and have some fun this week.

The good news gets even better when Ms. Corcoran , who has nice scenes with just about every single character in this show, speaks to Mr. Schue about keeping their...

It's essential for any kind of driving - whether you're on your way to the grocery store or to visit your friend's summer place up north. It's important that your playlists and CDs feature a mix of your favorite songs, and the music you pick can set the theme of your entire trip.

American Idol
Each week on "American Idol," prior to the individual performances, the producers reveal a little bit more about the contestants. This week, each of the 16 finalists admitted to their most embarrassing moment from the past. While some of their testimonies could be seen as comical, several had somewhat humiliating moments occur right then and there.

Ryan Seacrest provided his untimely wit by pointing out David Archuleta's urge to pee or Ramiele Malubay's short legs. Simon Cowell put Ryan in his place by his sassy comment to understand his opinion post Kady Malloy's performance cont...

But what does Simpson listen to when she's throwing a party, and what does she do for fun or when she's feeling silly? Ashlee Simpson
Ashlee Simpson is in a good place. She has two multi-platinum records that debuted back to back at the top of the charts and collectively sold more than four million copies in the U.S. alone. She has two sold-out tours under her belt, a tight-knit family, a loyal fan base, and a burgeoning second career as an actress. "Life is really good right now. I'm young. I love my life and I enjoy my time off too. I wanted to celebrate all that on my next record. I wanted to make music peop...

Starpulse Asks: Where Have All the Songwriters Gone?

October 26th, 2007 3:49pm EDT
Paramore
Pop tunesmiths are a baker's dozen. After the late-90s surge of uber song doctors such as Desmond Child and Diane Warren (known for that Titanic song), Justin Timberlake found his "SexyBack" and his own writing voice following years of whistling Max Martin dixie. Heck, even Britney Spears penned tunes from her Britney effort. (This year's tepid train wreck "Blackout" features a pitiful two songs co-written by the popstar.)

But what goes around comes around. A mere glance at the contemporary pop offerings finds only a chapbook of singer-songwriters. Ms. Warren's cheeseball balladry has ...

Newcomer Lisa Palleschi Releases Her Debut Album, "Released"

November 24th, 2006 10:00am EST
Lisa Palleschi
"I think this album has two personalities," Lisa Palleschi says of her debut, Released. "Half the songs are really pretty ballads, love songs, and the other half are more in-your-face, rock songs."

Indeed, Released is chock full of humanity: Its songs map the extreme ups and downs that every person experiences. It's full of love (the sensuous, lush cover of The Cure's classic "Just Like Heaven") and heartbreak (the scornful "I Wanna See You Cry"). And the big-voiced Long Island, N.Y. born siren wouldn't have it any other way.

Ranging from the sweeping to the sweet, the beautifully...
