My Morning Jacket
What can I say? I'm a sucker for the Grammys and the Oscars, and after a few years of real yawners, the Grammys in particular are back with a vengeance! The performances lineup is Coachella-esque impressive, with U2 and Coldplay joining the likes of Jonas Brothers, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne(!), Paul McCartney(!!) and Radiohead(!!!). But just as important as the performers are the award winners, and if you're in an office pool somewhere or on your way to Vegas and need a little help predicting the winners, you've come to the right place! Sara Bareilles Mocks Label With 'Love Song'

July 5th, 2008 5:00pm EDT
Sara Bareilles
Songwriter Sara Bareilles wrote her summer anthem "Love Song" to annoy her record company.

The Californian singer penned the hit track after label bosses at Epic Records rejected a batch of her freshly penned songs.

So the star decided to get her own back - by blasting her bosses through her sarcastic lyrics.

She says, "'Love Song' is about my record label. I turned in some new songs, and they didn't seem interested. That shook me up and made me feel as if I didn't know how to write music any more. It was a real confidence-buster. So I started thinking about how I could plea...
