Banco de Gaia was an electronic band from England, formed in 1989 by Toby Marks, who was born in South London in 1964. The band's music was a mix of ambient dub, with a touch of Arabic and Middle Eastern samples, against a backdrop of heavy reggae, rock, and trance rhythm.
