Guitar Center is excited to announce the Drum-Off Grand Finals will take place on January 5, 2008 at the Music Box @ Fonda in Hollywood, CA. Now in it's 19th year, Drum-Off continues to bring together thousands of the nation's top undiscovered drummers for the chance to compete for incredible prizes, national recognition and the bragging rights of being crowned Drum-Off Champion.

MxPx is Mike Herrera on vocals and bass guitar, Tom Wisniewski on guitar, and Yuri Ruley on drums. Formed in 1992 by Herrera and Ruley, the Bremerton, Washington-bred band's line-up has remained constant since Wisniewski joined the group in 1995.

Activision, Inc. is rocking gamers with an all-star musical line-up for the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Project 8 video game, including the debut of a track from the highly anticipated Plus-44 album, When Your Heart Stops Beating. Acclaimed singer-songwriter Jolie Holland has announced the May 9, 2006 release of Springtime Can Kill You, her third release for Anti- Records. Following in the steps of her lauded 2003 basement-tapes Catalpa and 2004's studio-debut Escondida, the new album takes Holland's sepia-toned, song noir to a transcendent level.

Sometimes wishes do come true. For fans of Fenix TX who wished for reconciliation after the band's sudden break-up in 2002, the dream will become reality on November 8 when the highly anticipated Purple Reign In Blood - Live album (with enhanced CD featuring a live video of "Katie W") will be released. The band launched an extensive tour in Cleveland on October 7 to bring the celebration directly to their anxious fans. The Drive Thru Records-sponsored trek-which also features Allister, Houston Calls, Day at the Fair and Denver Harbor--concludes December 4 in Chicago.
