 Burt Bacharach & Peter SellersAfter the Fox Release Date 1966 Label Rykodisc Rating:  Burt Bacharach's soundtrack to this 1966 Peter Sellers vehicle wasn't easy to come by until its CD reissue, but fans of his classic '60s pop hits should hesitate before investing in this largely instrumental disc. Not at all similar to the lush orchestral pop usually associated with Bacharach, it's mostly populated by vaudevillian, even corny miniatures -- sometimes with faux Italian motifs -- that are stereotypically silly slapstick backdrops. The title theme, sung by the Hollies with heavily accented, spoken comic interjections by Peter Sellers, was neither too funny nor too musically appealing.
