Augustana is an American rock band from San Diego, California who is signed to the Epic Records record label. Members of the band include Dan Layus, Jared Palomar, Chris Sachtleben, David Lamoureux and Justin South.

One thousand copies of their 2003 initial demo album, “Midwest Skies and Sleepless Mondays” were produced by Augustana and distributed at shows in the Midwest and California.

“All the Stars and Boulevards” their debut album, was released in 2005 by Epic Records. The album featured “Boston,” a Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart.

“Can't Love, Can't Hurt” was released in 2008 on Epic and peaked at #21 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. The single, “Sweet and Low” peaked at #88 on the Hot 100.

In 2011 they released a self-titled album, “Augustana” which peaked at #29 on the Billboard 200.
