The Asia on display on Military Man is not the classic lineup, it's the one fronted by vocalist/bassist John Payne, who sang with the group between 1992 and 2004 and broke off on his own, with the other members who were in the latter-day incarnation, when the original lineup reunited in the mid-2000s. This Asia makes its debut with the Military Man EP, re-recording the title song, "Long Way from Home," and "Neurosaur," doing effective versions of these tunes, making a case for their merit as their own separate thing outside the original Asia.
