Weezer Announces North American Tour

Weezer announced today a North American tour in support of their top ten album Weezer (referred to as the Red Album).

Starting September 23 at the Tsongas Center in Boston, the band will embark on a five week tour including dates in New York City at Madison Square Garden and Los Angeles' Great Western Forum. This is the band's first tour in three years. Drummer Pat Wilson announced, "if you want to rock, you know where to find us!"

DeLonge Says No To Blink 182 Reunion

Former Blink 182 frontman Tom DeLonge has ruled out ever reforming the punk band because he couldn't bear to perform the songs he wrote in his youth.

The singer - who now fronts Angels & Airways - enjoyed huge success with his rock trio, but he has disappointed fans by insisting it's impossible to reunite a band who sang about "first dates."

DeLonge feels he'd be cheating himself and the band's followers if he were to impersonate the man he used to be.

Harmonix and MTV Games announced today the latest additions to the Rock Band™ downloadable content catalog: a "Scene Pack" featuring Fall Out Boy, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Angels & Airwaves.

Fall Out Boy, who already have a track ("Dead On Arrival" from debut album Take This To Your Grave) in the game, add a second song to the Rock Band™ track listing with 2007's hit single "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race."

Yeah Yeah Yeahs (who also have a track in the game with "Maps" from debut disc Fever To Tell) add a second track from that album with "Date With The Night."

Former Blink-182 star Tom Delonge's new band Angels & Airwaves was the toast of the annual Woodie Awards in New York Wednesday night after claiming the event's top prize. The group claimed the Woodie of The Year award at the event, held to honor college students' favorite emerging artists and music.

British punk-pop trio The Subways were also celebrating after landing the International Woodie prize at the Roseland Ballroom ceremony. Gnarls Barkley, Gorillaz, AFI, O.A.R, Imogen Heap and Taking Back Sunday also won honors.

Actor Jared Leto's rock band 30 Seconds To Mars and former Blink 182 star Tom DeLonge's new group Angels & Airwaves will compete to play on top of Radio City Music Hall at the start of New York Fashion Week this autumn.

Rocker Tom DeLonge is so excited about his new band Angels & Airwaves, he's suffering anxiety attacks that they may be too successful.
