Andre 3000 Is Surprisingly Good As Jimi Hendrix In 'All is By My
Andre Benjamin (a.k.a. Andre 3000) plays the rock icon Jimi Hendrix and British actress Imogen Poots plays love interest Linda Keith in a new clip from the biopic "All Is By My Side."

The Outkast star does a surprisingly good job of portraying the guitar god, as evidenced in the first look below. In the clip, Hendrix admits he's nervous about getting on stage in Monterey with music legends such as Simon & Garfunkel and Otis Redding.

He also tells Linda that he wrote "Red House" for her. She coyly says that Keith Richards wrote "Ruby Tuesday" for he as well.

Back in September, Hendrix's e...

Hip hop stars Big Boi and Andre 'Andre 3000' Benjamin are set to bring Outkast back to the stage at next April's Coachella festival.

The two stars are currently in "prolonged talks" to reunite, according to Billboard.com, which will end their seven-year hiatus.

Multiple sources have confirmed the reunion, including the duo's frequent collaborator Sleepy Brown, who shared a black-and-white photo of a group of girls screaming (presumably from when the Beatles first arrived in America) with a text overlay reading, "Outkast Headlining Coachella 2014," on his Instagram page. The song, co-written by music producer Mark Ronson, debuted on Ronson's radio show "Authentic Sh*t" on New York City's East Village Radio on Saturday.

"It's a wonderful sort of take on our song," Ronson said. "I'm flattered and honored. I know Amy would be too."

Despite Ronson's praise for the song, the reception for it hasn't been good at all, as evidenced on Twitter -- especially from Amy's fat...

Uma Thurman and her French financier boyfriend Arpad Busson revealed the name of their newborn baby girl this week, and the tot's title is a mouthful.

The couple named their three-month-old Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson. Where they got her nickname, "Luna," from is a mystery; but their rep says each name has a special reason and meaning.

Representatives of Jimi Hendrix's estate have condemned plans for Andre 3000's upcoming biopic of the guitar legend, accusing the filmmakers of moving forward with the project without gaining official permission.

News of the film project emerged earlier this month and it has prompted a response from the company charged with preserving Hendrix's legacy, with representatives insisting movie bosses do not have the right to use any...

Jive Records bosses are blocking an Outkast reunion on Big Boi's new album - because they won't free up Andre Benjamin to record with his old pal.

Big Boi jumped labels to Def Jam after Jive executives told him they were stumped on how to promote his new album, Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. He says, "Jive Records told me my album is a piece of art, and they didn't know what to do with it."

However, the move wasn't a popular one and now Jive bosses are trying to stop the Outkast band mates from recording together.

The Ten Greatest Songs Of The Decade

Ten Greatest Songs of the Decade
Yesterday, we brought you the Ten Greatest TV Shows of the decade. Now it's time to turn up the tunes a bit. During this decade, music kind of went back to the way it was fifty years ago. That is, the single became more important than the album. With the rise of mp3 downloads, and the ultra-convenient iPod for playing them back, singles were now the most common way of buying or listening to music. We're on the verge of again seeing artists simply releasing singles, rather than padding them with an additional ten tracks.

With that in mind, here are the Ten Greatest Songs of the decade...

Outkast: In a Class of Their Own

March 27th, 2008 2:30pm EDT

As one of the hottest rap groups out today, Outkast has etched a mark in hip-hop history as perhaps the best rap group ever. They're in fair competition, however, with groups like A Tribe Called Quest and EPMD riding dutch. These groups, by coincidence, never took to transforming the perceptions of what many outside the South considered as nothing special into worthy rhyme sayers, putting Atlanta on its back and giving listeners something to nod to.

Outkast's Andre 3000 and Big Boi came together as a group in 1991 and signed to Laface Records in 1992. They were the label's first hip-h...

It's been three long years since The Hives' last album. When it comes to a band that rocks as hard as The Hives, three years seems like too long of a wait. But, with The Hives rocking as hard as they do, maybe having them in charge wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Throughout his career, Consequence gained credibility not only on the streets with his peers but with the critics as well. A gifted storyteller, he has a keen and unwavering sense of what he is all about. His objective realizm provides a clear alternative not only to gangsta rap but also to the watered-down and overly calculated pop-rap. "What I rhyme about is what I see around me, I'm a result of the hood, my rhymes ...
