Singer Ameriie Marries

R&B star Ameriie married her fiance in the West Indies on Saturday.

The 30-year-old singer exchanged vows with former Columbia Records executive Lenny Nicholson in a tropical ceremony in Anguilla, and Ameriie - formerly known as Amerie - walked down the aisle wearing a dramatic Monique Lhullier gown.

She tells, "This is such an exciting time for me. This is my first marriage and I am over the moon. I look forward to a loving and enduring marriage. This day couldn't come any sooner for me. I am beyond thrilled. I will remember this day forever."

Amerie Adds An 'I' To Her Name Because The 'Vibration' Is Right

Singer Amerie has baffled fans by announcing she has changed her stage name - to Ameriie.

The "1 Thing" hitmaker has added an extra "i" to her first name to reflect "positive energy."

Explaining her new moniker to she says, "I operate on vibes and intuition, and I believe everything is energy; the vibration of the double I is right for me. Slightly different spelling, completely same pronunciation!

Amerie Engaged To Manager

R&B beauty Amerie is engaged to her manager boyfriend, Lenny Nicholson. The 1 Thing singer, 30, accepted Nicholson's proposal during a romantic trip to Paris, France last weekend, when he got down on one knee and presented her with a pink diamond ring.

Rumors quickly spread online claiming the couple had eloped and exchanged vows, but her publicist has quashed the marriage reports, insisting Amerie has only just got engaged.

R&B star Amerie has offered troubled pop star Britney Spears some career advice - by urging the singer to "move more". The Toxic star was criticized following her performance of comeback single Gimme More at last month's MTV Video Music Awards, but Amerie believes Spears needs to revisit the energetic dance numbers of her early hits to get back on track.

R&B star Amerie was shocked to discover South Korean girls wear "skimpy" clothes, because she thought they'd be more conservative than Western women. The Take Control singer - who is half Korean herself - was stunned to see local women exposing so much flesh when she first visited the country, and was even more surprised to see girls dancing half-naked in music videos.
