Aaron Gillespie Of The Almost Talks 'Monster Monster'

The Almost are back with "Monster Monster", the follow-up to their hit 2007 album, "Southern Weather". While Monster is technically their second album, some might view it as being their first true album because "Southern Weather" was written completely by lead singer, Aaron Gillespie - both lyrically and musically. But this time around Gillespie has a band of warrior musicians around him and they worked in collaboration to make the new disc.

New Music From The Almost: Listen To 'Southern Weather'

The Almost
Aaron Gillespie has been best known for his bone-crunching vocals and talent behind the drums in the Florida-based band, Underoath. Now, his newer project, The Almost, lets Gillespie put a different, more melodic side of himself on display. Essentially a solo effort, the project has evolved into a full band with Jay Vilardi (guitar), Dusty Redmon (guitar), Alex Aponte (bass) and Kenny Bozich (drums) rounding out the lineup. The debut album, Southern Weather, was released April 3rd via Virgin/Tooth & Nail and debuted at #29 on the Billboard 200.

Suburban Pennsylvania quartet The Starting Line was formed some eight years ago by bassist and lead singer Kenny Vasoli. Guitarists Matt Watts and Mike Golla, and drummer Tom Gryskewicz, his friends and original band mates, have been along for the ride ever since.
