Gregg Allman, EP & Open Road Dropped From 'Midnight Rider' Lawsu
The family of Sarah Jones, the camera assistant killed by a train during the filming of "Midnight Rider," has dropped Gregg Allman, executive producer Michael Lehman and Open Road Films from its civil lawsuit.

Jones, 27, died in Wayne County, Georgia, on Feb. 20 during a scene being filmed on live train tracks. The crew of the film was shooting a scene on a train trestle when the incident occurred, and Jones couldn't escape the oncoming train.

Producers of ill-fated Gregg Allman biopic Midnight Rider: The Gregg Allman Story have turned themselves in to police and spoken out over the death of a camera assistant that shut down production.

Director Randall Miller, writer/producer Jody Savin and producer Jay Sedrish have been charged with involuntary manslaughter over the death of Sarah Jones, 27, who was struck and killed by a train during shooting of the film in Wayne County, Georgia back in February.

The six-times divorced rocker, 64, told newsman Piers Morgan of his wedding plans during an appearance on his CNN talk show on Tuesday night - introducing the Brit to his 24-year-old fiancee, Shannon.

Veteran rocker Gregg Allman's doctors have given him the all-clear to continue with a book tour after undergoing cardiac testing.

The Allman Brothers icon had to pull out of plans to promote his new memoir, My Cross to Bear, on a number of TV and radio shows last week after experiencing an irregular heartbeat following recent hernia surgery.

A Tennessee man was treated for minor injuries after he was stabbed at a Gregg Allman concert on Wednesday.

The Allman Brothers Band founder was performing onstage at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville when a fight broke out in the audience.

Security officials stepped in to break up the scuffle, but not before Ronald Sixt Jr. had been stabbed in the face after reportedly bumping into a fellow concert goer. He was transported to a hospital and treated for his injuries.

Rocker Gregg Allman is playing through the pain as he tours Europe - he feels like he's been hit "with a sledgehammer" a year after undergoing a liver transplant.

Rocker Gregg Allman is set to tell all about his colorful life in an autobiography.

The Allman Brothers Band star, who was married to Cher in the 1970s, has signed a book deal with bosses at William Morrow, part of HarperCollins Publishers.

The memoir is said to be an "unflinching" look at his brother and bandmate Duane's death from a motorcycle accident in the 1970s, Allman's substance abuse issues and his relationship with Cher.

Allman follows in the footsteps of rockers Keith Richards, Steven Tyler and Sammy Hagar, who have all recently published their memoirs.

Rocker Gregg Allman has undergone a liver transplant in Florida.

It is hoped the surgery, which took place on Wednesday morning, will aid the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member in his battle with Hepatitis C.

A spokesman for the Allman Brothers star says, "He had a successful liver transplant operation at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. He had been on a waiting list for the transplant and is looking forward to a speedy recovery."

Tim McGraw will launch his upcoming album, Southern Voice, out on October 20, with a series of national television appearances. On Oct 12th he performed on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and played an exclusive 'Live on Letterman' webcast concert from the Ed Sullivan Theater.

Today, October 16th, McGraw will return to the "Late Show" for another performance and a chat with the host.

"Southern Voice" is Tim's first album in two-and-a-half years; and it was recorded in Nashville, TN with his longtime producer, Byron Gallimore. An extensive tour is planned for next year.
