Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland has fired back at reports he is using backing tracks on the road.

The allegations were aimed at the rocker after he tumbled off the stage during a show in Ohio last week and appeared to keep singing.

Fans at the concert were stunned when Weiland continued singing seconds later without sounding flustered or breathless.

But the singer insists he's just professional.

At a concert in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night, Weiland addressed the rumors, stating, "There has never been a time in the 25-plus years that I have been singing with the...

Alice In Chains Stars Say 'Celebrity Rehab' Exploits People

February 20th, 2010 4:38pm EST
Alice In Chains
Alice In Chains stars Jerry Cantrell and Sean Kinney have blasted the producers of reality show Celebrity Rehab for taking advantage of former drummer Mike Starr and the mother of their late frontman Layne Staley.

The rockers have saluted Starr's efforts to get clean after years of substance abuse, but were appalled when their former bandmate's rehab stint became part of Thursday night's VH1 show.

Taped last year, the episode featured Starr still struggling to come to terms with the drug-related 2002 death of his friend Staley - and featured an appearance from the late rock star's mot...

Top Ten Best Records of 2009

2009 saw the release of a number of great records, but it wasn't that hard to nail down a solid list of the ten best. The year saw a number of musical comebacks as well, none more awe-inspiring and utterly impressive than Alice in Chains. Coincidentally their latest release and first since the death of Layne Staley, Black Gives Way to Blue, tops this very list as my album of the year, although my best album of the year choice changed a handful of times as 2009 progressed.

At one point in time my album of the year was the Prodigy's Invaders Must Die, then that quickly changed once Julien...

We chatted with Johann Urb, star of "Eastwick" and "2012," and found his view on life fascinating. Originally from Estonia, we discussed his roots and interests, his movie and TV work, but somehow we often went off on a tangent that we think you will enjoy as much as we did.

I watched "Eastwick" so I could get a glimpse of you before the interview. You were such a Clark Kent.

Oh, thank you! I get a lot of that. When we were shooting the pilot, Lindsay Price's mom came to visit and she goes, "You look like Superman blond." So that's my nickname. I think it's kind of funny.

How Will We Categorize Our Current Decade of Music?

July 24th, 2008 8:45am EDT
50 Cent
We all know that the 70s was the decade of classic/arena rock, the 80s was the decade of hair metal/synth pop and the 90s was the decade of grunge/alternative rock. This brings up a question that a lot of music lovers must wonder: how will we categorize our current decade of music?

It's funny how music tends to change every generation. The 70s was the era of classic rock where groups such as Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and Lynyrd Skynyrd took over the entire music scene. Next up was the 80s, where both hair metal rockers such as Guns 'N Roses, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi reigned, along with ...
