Country singer Trace Adkins's wife has filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences."

Rhonda Adkins, the singer's third wife, filed court papers in the couple's home state of Tennessee on Monday to end their 16-year marriage, according to TMZ.com.

The couple wed in 1997 and share three daughters together, who Mrs. Adkins has requested custody of, along with alimony and child support.

Country star Trace Adkins has checked into rehab following an altercation aboard a cruise ship.

The singer, a recovering alcoholic who's been sober for over 12 years, suffered a setback after he was spotted at a bar on the ship where an impersonator had been singing Karaoke.

Adkins and the impostor got into a physical altercation, prompting him to jump ship in Jamaica and head for rehab, according to TMZ.com.

Trace Adkins is a hurting buckaroo with a tender heart. The country star recently broke his foot and uploaded a picture of his bruised appendage on Twitter.

He wrote, "This is gross. Broke my foot the other day. Still kinda hurts."

It's not the only issue he's having, and he doesn't seem to be afraid of a little TMI. "I also have a rash that I'm trying to get a good pic of. Having some difficulty," he added.

Country star Trace Adkins has become a grandfather to a boy named in his honor.

The Chrome singer's daughter Tarah gave birth to Jackson Trace Webber earlier this month and Adkins has shared treasured photos of his own dad cradling the newborn with People.com to mark Father's Day.

He says, "The eldest of my five daughters gave birth to my newest grandson, Jackson Trace Webber, on Wednesday, June 6. Jackson weighed seven pounds, three ounces."

Country band Rascal Flatts are set to be honored for their tireless charity work at a glitzy gala in Nashville, Tennessee.

The group will receive the Artist Humanitarian Award for their fundraising efforts during the annual Country Radio Seminar ceremony on February 22nd.

Animal rights campaigners have taken aim at country star Trace Adkins for opening up about his love for hunting and guns on the same day a 15-year-old Texas student was shot dead by police after brandishing a pistol at school.

Cops in Brownsville killed Jamie Gonzalez on Wednesday after school officials reported he had pulled a pellet pistol on a classmate during an argument and then allegedly boasted about staging a shoot-out with officers when they arrived. He was shot three times, according to local reports, when he refused to put his gun down at the request of police officials.

Country star Trace Adkins has spoken out for the first time since his Tennessee home was destroyed by fire on Saturday, urging fans and well wishers to donate to the American Red Cross and help the survivors of the recent floods and tornadoes in the U.S. southern states.

The fire that gutted country singer Trace Adkins' Tennessee home over the weekend was caused by an electrical fault.

The singer's three daughters and their nanny had to flee the property and watch as the blaze destroyed the property on Saturday evening.

Adkins himself was en-route to a show in Alaska and didn't learn about the tragedy until he touched down. He immediately boarded another plane and flew home to be with his family.

CMT.com reports the blaze was caused by an overheated or loose electrical connection in a power strip located beneath a workbench in the garage on the estate.

The singer appeared at a hearing before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment and Related Agencies at Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. on Thursday and highlighted the need for emphasis on preservation over the next five years, during the 150th anniversary period.

Two Die In Collision With Trace Adkins' Tour Bus

Two men died this morning when their pickup truck collided with one of Trace Adkins' tour buses near Shreveport, LA., according to CMT.com. Adkins was not on the bus, but five members of his band and crew sustained minor injuries. The bus was on its way to a concert Adkins was doing with Martina McBride and Sarah Buxton in Bossier City, La.

The pickup truck was traveling north on U.S. 71 when it crossed the center line and ran head on into the southbound bus. The truck's driver and his passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Nine people were traveling on the tour bus.
